Hello Hajduk and welcome to Wikipedia! Hope you like it here, and stick around.

Here are some tips to help you get started:

Good luck!

The history section of country articles is thought to highlight the most important aspects sumarized in a couple of paragraphs (ideally four or five paragraphs of modest length). For most countries, at least for the better known, there are specific articles on history, linked to by the phrase Main article: History of Germany right below the headline. This is outlined in Wikipedia:WikiProject Countries.

In principle, it's our objective that the history section of the country article is a well balanced summary of the history article, but this is a policy that we not always have energy to live up to. Tonight, I made an effort [1] to shorten the history section, in order to make the article come closer to this ideal.

I hope you can continue the work to shorten the history section of the main article on Germany!

East Germany Redirect

[edit]

First off let me say welcome to wikipedia, please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you. I am contacting you because I have reverted your edit to East Germany. Your edit created a double redirect, meaning that after your edit East Germany redirected to German Democratic Republic and German Democratic Republic redirect to East Germany with no articel located at either page. I have restored the article to East Germany because, acording to the German Democratic Republic page history, the page has always been a redirect. If you have an objection to the article being located at East Germany please feel free to post your concerns on the East Germany talk page. Also, please do not move pages without posting a notice on the talk page or attemptig to start a discussion over the proposed move. If no one responds to your post wait a few days before moving the page again. Thanks. :) -JCarriker |Talk 10:15, Sep 28, 2004 (UTC)

Do you really believe that your recent edits to the Prussian Claims Society article are NPOV? You call someone a "red", which is neither neutral nor polite and you make some claims about the reaction of German politicians - yet you do not name them. Also, the idea that reparations for property of 2 million people would be higher than reparation for 6 million dead and property of approx. 20 million people is somehow strange. Could you possibly state a source? I don't think this information belongs to the article, but I'm simply curious. Regards, [[User:Halibutt|Halibutt]] 03:07, Oct 24, 2004 (UTC)

Hi there! Thanks for adding the image Image:Michaelis.jpg. It currently doesn't have an image copyright tag, and I was hoping that you would add one as untagged images may be deleted eventually. (You can use {{gfdl}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) Thanks! --David Iberri | Talk 21:45, Dec 9, 2004 (UTC)

Image copyrights

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Papentiergarten.jpg. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much, Edwin Stearns | Talk 20:53, 15 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Image tag

[edit]

Hi! Thanks for uploading the following image:

I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status?

You can use {{gfdl}} if you wish to release your own work under the GNU Free Documentation License, {{PD-self}} if you wish to release your own work to the public domain, {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use of someone else's work, and so on. Click here for a list of the various tags.

If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know at my talk page where you got the image from, and I'll tag it for you. (And if you know exactly what this means and are really tired of the constant reminders, please excuse me. They will stop once the tagging project is complete.) Thanks so much. Denni 23:40, 2004 Dec 18 (UTC)

P.S. You can help tag other images at Wikipedia:Untagged_Images. Thanks again.

[edit]
The image you uploaded, Image:Brueningheinrich.jpg, has no source information. The image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, ie in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. Unless the copyright status is provided, the image will be marked for deletion on 24 October 2005.

Image Tagging for Image:Cunowilhelm.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Cunowilhelm.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Unspecified source for Image:Hertling.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Hertling.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nicke L 15:02, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Hajduk! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 5 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Reinhard Günzel - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

File source problem with File:Fehrenbach.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Fehrenbach.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 09:58, 1 May 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 09:58, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Reinhard Günzel has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable. Fails to meet biography guidelines

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ⋙–Berean–Hunter—► ((⊕)) 05:45, 4 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
